The Curriculum

Childhood is a precious time. It is our responsibility to provide learning environments and meaningful experiences that capture the joys of childhood, nurture each child's individual growth and development, and pave the way for success in school and life.

Our curriculum focuses on providing enriching learning experiences by developing children's curiosity, encouraging them to become risk takers, and empowering them with essential communication skills though hands on learning activities.

Kidz Kollege has an integrated curriculum which places great emphasis on understanding of concepts and development of attitudes as well as acquisition of knowledge and skills.

It is a curriculum that fosters children's development accomplished by means of a balanced, holistic program in which teachers take an active role in spontaneous play, academics, cross-disciplinary, inquiry-based learning.

Our curriculum is planned to be appropriate for the age span of children within the group and is implemented with attention to different needs, interests and developmental levels of individual differences.

Our program provides for all areas of a child's development: language, physical, emotional, social, and cognitive through an integrated approach. Children's learning does not occur in narrowly defined subject areas, their development and learning are integrated. Our teachers are prepared to meet the needs of the children and increase the difficulty, complexity and challenge of an activity as pet the children's pace.

It is the sum of all the experiences:

Learning skills
Developing concepts
Socializing
Establishing attitudes

In TinyTurtles 1-2 year, there is always bounty of activities as children play, explore, and construct their own knowledge through interactive and cooperative experiences. The different centers in the classroom encourage children to engage in quiet and active time, social and independent activities, constructive and pretend play, etc.

Our Softroom is the most popular and fantastic room for children to engage in with great fun . They enjoy climbing, bouncing, gym-play, encouraging their physical and social skill development.

Our Imaginary room is most liked by the children, since it's designed with set up for easy access of materials , encouraging freedom of choice and independence. Some things are kept out of reach to promote language development as children communicate their need for assistance. The social environment unfolds as children grow and develop together in the classroom.

Tiny Turtles also enjoy music and movement which helps their body and mind to work together. Dancing to music also helps build our children's motor skills while allowing self-expression and strengthening of memory skills.

Self care is highly encouraged in our class . Skills like; tidying up after play, washing hands before eating and putting on their own shoes are regularly demonstrated in class to encourage children to adapt easily.

Children begin to mimic words and slowly become good at it after which they are seen using those words to interact with their peers and teachers . Every child develops speech at their own pace.

kids may not only grow by leaps and bounds, but also learn how to leap and bound. Expect to see big things happening with the big developing muscles. Getting creative with art is at the peak of our activities.

The adventurous 3-4's e

The age of 3 - 4 years is a beautiful and tender age where children develop their language, communication, emotional and cognitive skills. During this milestone, their vocabulary is enriched by endlessly naming a variety of different things from their surrounding. The children are able to communicate forming simple sentences as well as ask and respond to questions. Towards the end of the year, they can eagerly narrate stories and simple experiences.

Learning becomes fun and engaging as they work through hands-on-activities, games and having practical experiences on each area of teaching which makes literacy, mathematical and science concepts exciting and easy to grasp.

At this age their fine motor skills and hand dexterity strengthens as we closely work with the children by giving them ample activities on handling objects with their hands, squashing of play dough, picking tiny objects using a tong, cutting activities and much more. Through continuous practices with prewriting skills, their pincer grip shows great development as they begin by writing on sand trays using their fingers as well as practice writing on the chalk board which later helps them form shapes, numbers, alphabet sounds as well as draw basic figures with ease using a pencil.

Their physical and gross motor skills play a great role during this milestone therefore we bring out the potential of each child through their active participation in running, climbing, hopping, jumping, paddling etc.

Creativity and imagination within each child is brought to life as they have the freedom to choose from a variety of art medium to make the best of their creation.

In the Smiling Starfish class (3-4years) children get every opportunity to work through different centres that cater for holistic development and bring out the best of each child during this crucial learning phase. The well thought centres help children to work in groups, socialise, share and create a wonderful rapport amongst the pupils and their environment.

Wise Whales "The risk takers" h

4-5 years class begins to recognize more aspects of the world around them. Their communication has more purpose, and their emotional state is more tangible.

Our approach has always been one that requires our children to use their senses fully when learning.

We believe in natural learning and play on their inquisitive minds by encouraging questions. The more they question their surroundings, the more eager they become in finding answers.

This is where their curiosities find reasons, demand answers, and where their scribbling changes to a legible form of communication.

Our story time is particularly important for this age group. It helps children's imagination and the increased ability to remember the past. We give our children opportunities to recite familiar stories that they have read. This makes them budding storytellers. Children learn that reading is about playing with words and sounds through rhymes, songs and stories.

Wise Whales use hands-on manipulatives, and real-life examples to illustrate how math is useful in day-to-day life. By using a teaching sequence that builds upon itself. We introduce children to new concepts at a pace that ensures mastery and fosters a positive attitude toward learning. Their command of the basics will provide the proper stepping-stones for the next level of mathematical principles.

We build and strengthen children's word knowledge, language development, verbal expression, reasoning, social interaction and awareness. All of these are essential pre-reading skills. Children learn to name and classify shapes, letters, numbers and natural forms such as shells, stones and leaves. The mastery and proficiency in learning is achieved through circle time activities, story time, dramatic play, music, creative movement, free play both indoors and out along with constructive written assignments.
